Representin’ MS to the C, yo!
I filled in for Peacock at the “Why Roe Still Matters” discussion at Truman. Once I get off my lazy ass (and by lazy, I mean busy taking 3 tests and getting together $10K’s worth of forms for convo this week), I’ll post more about it. Until then, here’s the article, and here’s my two cents mentioned in it-
Michelle Hill, a second-year osteopathic medical student, represented the A.T. Still chapter of Medical Students For Choice at the panel discussion. Hill said that although abortion is a common medical procedure, medical students often do not receive a complete education about abortion issues.
“We think that the only obstacle to abortion is [a legal obstacle], but there’s a critical shortage of doctors providing abortions, and this threatens to make the Roe v. Wade decision irrelevant,” she said.
